Need Emergency Assistance For This Month's Rent

Hi,
My friend is in dire need of assistance to pay her rent this month. She is trying to get her life back in track and is running into many roadblocks. She's tried a few agencies but the only way they can help her is if she gets an eviction notice or has one served. Hello??? That is what she's trying to avoid! Any advice on where I can direct her? Oh, she is living in Reynoldsburg OH

Well you can always have her call the Salvation Army, they do provide bill paying assistance down here in Texas. Also the Texas Council of Governments offers assistance with electric bills. But your friend is in Ohio. SO the Salvation Army would be the only avenue I personally can offer up as a possible place to get assistance. It will all be okay. Tell your friend not to panic. In Texas an eviction notice is given and you have 30 days or you can pay your rent up and stay- this is in the case of an apartment complex. I am not sure about renting from an individual- if they want you gone then there is not much you can do I guess. But renters have rights!
